Starlink is a satellite internet service operated by SpaceX. Unlike old satellite internet, Starlink uses low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites — much closer to Earth, which means low latency and fast speeds.
The result is genuinely fast internet from a small dish you set up almost anywhere with a clear view of the sky. No phone mast, no cable, no infrastructure.
50–200Mbps download is comparable to good home broadband. 20–40ms latency is fast enough for video calls, live streaming and payment terminals. Multiple simultaneous users, no problem.
Buying a Starlink kit costs ~£400 upfront plus ~£75/month subscription. If you only need it for days or weeks, renting is far cheaper and simpler.
Rental also makes sense when you need it immediately. Next day delivery means you're not waiting for a subscription to activate. And when you're done, you just send it back.
We rent the Starlink standard kit — the rectangular articulated dish. Built tough, proven reliable and genuinely plug-and-play.
The kit arrives in a Pelican hard case inside a cardboard shipping box. Keep the cardboard box for the duration of your rental. The kit must be returned inside the original cardboard box — returning without it may result in additional charges.
Setup takes about 5 minutes. No technical knowledge needed.
Power: The dish and router draw 50–75W average. A standard 13A UK socket is all you need. For off-grid, a 300Wh+ power station runs it comfortably.
We deliver across UK mainland. Next day delivery is available. Delivery cost is quoted separately based on your location.
You can also collect from Sunderland if convenient — no delivery cost.
We handle all rental orders personally — there's no automated system. During May–September and bank holidays, demand is high. If you have a fixed date, book as early as possible.
Rental starts from £35 per day with a minimum of 3 days. A £200 refundable deposit is required and returned when the kit comes back in good condition.
Delivery is priced separately based on your location and quoted when you submit your request. No hidden fees.
This is a request, not an instant booking. When you submit a rental request, we check availability and confirm your order personally within a few hours. During busy periods, requests are handled in order of receipt.
A single dish is solid for small to medium use cases. For larger events or wide area coverage, our sister service dwmedia Event WiFi deploys full managed WiFi infrastructure — multiple access points, bonded backhaul, on-site support.
No contract, no subscription. Just connectivity when you need it.
We're not currently accepting any new Starlink rentals. If you already have a rental booked with us, it will go ahead as normal - nothing changes on your end. Thanks for your understanding.
